My new hurr!

As you can see I have new hurrrr! I got it done and I love it! I think the funniest thing about my hair now is that before when I had my natural hair color a lot of asian people were confused as to what I was and even a lot of Korean people were unsure, now that I have almost black hair everytime I go to the Korean market or restaraunt they automatically speak to me in Korean. It cracks me up how much a small difference can change the way you are perceived. In all honesty though I do feel a tad bit more Korean now, my mom loves it because we all match, the girls at least. My brother's dirty blonde hair will always stay the way it is unless it naturally darkens.

I did have a great birthday cookout, the food was amazing and the cook, Daniel did a great job. Oh I'm not sure if you guys have ever seen a picture of the pups bodies fully but as you can see in one of the photos, they are very long and short. Not a lot of people can say they have Basset Hound/German Shephard mixes, but I'm very proud to! I love the heck outta those boys and they are always there for me no matter what. The cookout was so fun and it was the first of the year so that's great. The weather was PERFECTION, it was so nice and warm but with a cool breeze. It's been like that all week and I'm so happy about it! Oh and just in case you were curious about the random record player and radio, I know it's not in the greatest condition but i just wanted to show you guys the present I had gotten Andrey for Christmas, I know it's a little late. Ok...a LOT late, but anywho I love it and soon we will be changing the fabric in the speakers so that look better. Thank you Craigslist.

Awkward Eyebrow

Not to point out the obvious, BUT I'd like to share that I went a whole day not realizing I had only filled one eyebrow. Yes it actually wasn't until I just saw this picture that I noticed it. Yeah that's me for ya...I probably was in a rush and talking while doing my makeup. I need deep concentration for my eyebrows otherwise I manage to screw them up...HA!

Will This Day Ever End?

It's been a super long day and I feel like I just don't know how to end it, haha sounds silly. I just don't want to sleep it away but I also don't want to do anything. Does this make sense to anyone else? I have a lot of things I have to do around the house but of course I am going to wait until the last minute because my mind and body seems to work at it's best in these situations as always. It's like the adrenaline gets to me and I can't stop cleaning and doing things, robo-version of me comes to life. Andrey decided to capture some photos of me making my many out of millions of different weird faces I make when I'm talking. I'm like an Italian when it comes to talking except for instead of using my hands I use my face. My face never lies, my mother can tell how I am feeling exactly by looking at it. It's hard for me to hide my emotions, especially if I'm upset or disagree.

I did get to enjoy this morning several cups of warm coffee and breakfast. It was nice and peaceful, couldn't ask for a better way to start my day though. I started out great but ended not so greatly. I'm thinking of dyeing my hair dark brown, I think I need a change in my hair and a new hair color is what will do. I'm afraid to cut it honestly.

Rain All Day

I've been super duper busy lately and I love it! I know there have been a huge lack in outfit posts, I just have a bit more things to do than normal. I'm preparing for my big birthday bash on Sunday, I know my birthday was Monday but since I am a huge procrastinator I decided to wait until the last minute of course. Andrey no longer works night shifts and changed to day shifts and it's been heavenly, we were a bit worried we might get sick of each other but no! We know how to balance our own times with each other and it's great. Being able to go to bed at a normal time is great also haha. There a LOT of things in our new house that still need to be done and the babies keep causing more trouble haha, it's never ending I swear! We still haven't even touched our office room, it scares me...there are things hidden in there that I might not want to find. Also with my friend from Japan visiting or possibly staying, I can't wait to see her and her family soon! She even has the cutest little son, reminds me so much of my brother! So like I said it's been busy busy busy and hopefully I can make some time to squeeze in an outfit for you guys!

...very awkward birthday

After the very slow and long day at work I quickly went home to unwind and get ready for dinner with my crazy family. They took me out to Cafe Korea, literally right next to where I live so it's nice to not have to go to far away. I hate driving, it's just annoying and nerve wrecking because of all the terrible drivers out there. I drive like a grandma, so you probably would hate to get stuck behind me. Anywho, the food was so superb, the place is a little expensive compared to others we used to go to when we lived in Georgia. Nonetheless it was delicious and I got one of my favorites Soon Dubu and Kalbi! My little brother managed to get my camera and have us pose in all variations, he is something else. I love him though so very much, would do anything for him. The rest of night got weird but isn't life just weird in general? I went to bed early due to a intense migraine and slept it away. Oh! I want to thank everyone for such beautiful and kind words on my birthday, I love the spirit!

It's meh birthday! I wanted to share part of my birthday as I got to spend it so far with my boobear Andrey and his crazy face! He got a hair cut while I was gone in Seattle for me and I love it! He looks super handsome and adorable all at once! He's the best boyfriend as he is getting me a plane ticket to Seattle so that I can see my best friend Hannah again! He knows the way to my heart! Excuse my bum looking hair and weird attempt to hide bangs. I have decided that once again I hate my bangs and must grow them out again so I am braiding them so that they may be disguised. I had a great breakfast though and the donuts from Taylor's bakery were sooo scrumptious, I might have gained 10 pounds eating some...or all of them.

Day 4 in Seattle

I had the pleasure of waking up early that morning and watching the most beautiful sunrise right outside of Hannah's living room window. It was just so breathtaking and refreshing, I wish I could wake up to that every morning. Decided to go out and grab some yummy pastries for breakfast at an all organic and vegan bakery, their blueberry & cranberry muffin was delicious. The berries were so fresh and still packed full of juice it was like eating a Gusher, haha but better. I was really wanting to grab some flowers for Hannah's mother, she loves flowers so I grabbed a magnificent bouquet of dried flowers in a array of purple, red, and pink. They were the perfect addition to their apartment, I mean the least I could do for them for letting me stay five whole days with them in their home is to bring something back. We stopped by Hannah's college real quick and I just had to take photos of the huge trees and lush green scenery that surrounds her school. I just wish my college could look half as good as hers does. The day before the last day was beautiful and I'm really going to be missing Hannah more than ever after I leave, I must wait for August before I see her again.

Day 3 in Seattle

On the third day of visiting Hannah and all her amazingness, she took me to the EMP which was uh-mah-zing! I had so much fun looking at all the exhibits they had available around the museum. Hannah really wanted to go to the Horror room, I was a little nervous about but it was actually fun! I'm more a psychological thriller kinda gal, no gore or blood for me! I did participate in their project though and gave them a good scream photo of me for their wall of screams. Oh and I got to see Edward Scissorhand's scissor hands...haha that's a mouthful.

Later after the museum we went back and got some yummy yummy sushi! I had been dying to try the sushi in Seattle since it's been said to be so fresh! I love sushi so much I could live off of it, although I might catch something eventually...right? Oh my gosh and their green tea cake with red bean cream was the bomb diggity, the slices were so tiny I had to eat like twenty to be satisfied.

So lately I've realized that all my shoes are actually very uncomfortable for my feet expect for my converse, unless I'm all day in them. I also found out while I was in Seattle with my best friend Hannah, that I am not a size 9 that I actually am more of a size 8, which is funny because I always thought shoes were suppose to be loose not snug, but once I wore the right shoe size it all became sense to me, haha. I've been looking into new shoes and since my feet are usually in pain since I have wide feet and high arches, they can be a pain in the arse to shop for. No cute shoes were ever made apparently to fit wide and high arched feet. So I began my search and fell in love with felted shoes, something that is both healthy for your feet and adorable! I love the concept and the cuteness of them. They stimulate the blood circulation in your feet and keep them soft since they rub against the felt all day, so no hard calluses anymore!

Day 2: Seattle, Part 2

After all of that fun of course we had to eat something! Hannah's boyfriend Coolie showed me the magical and wonderful world of Pho, the most yummiest noodle soup ever! In Korea we have something somewhat similar, but man this really takes the cake with beef noodles soup. Oh and isn't my best friend the most beautifulest! I know it's not a word but let's pretend for a day it is.

As we were walking around I found this really cute sign that said "One Love", it made me smile and than of course there was a guy outside playing an electric violin. I've never heard one live and it was mind blowing how amazing he was. He played so many beautiful songs and is truly gifted, I only hope the best for him with his great talent. We rushed into Lush and I bought a bath bomb called Space Girl and can't wait to try it. I've always wanted to get something from there, but as usual my skeptical mind keeps me from buying everything until I try at least one thing. They gave out free cupcakes for a birthday and mine was super yummy, loved the strawberry icing!

Before we headed home we stopped by the Space Needle and took a ride up to the top. I can't believe this year is the 50th year anniversary, can't wait to go back in August to help celebrate! The view from up top is the most magnificent and breathtaking view I've seen yet. It was sunny and bright on one side and dark and cloudy on the other, I love the difference of the two. The water was my favorite, I wish I could have just stayed up there forever, should have brought my sleeping back and tent. Maybe next time! I can't believe how fast time is going and I wish it would have slowed down since I had missed my Hannah Banana for so long and the time we spent went so fast, isn't it always like that? I swear it felt like forever before I got to leave for Seattle and now it's like a blink of the eye and I'm back at work.

Day 2: Seattle Part 1

So if the first day wasn't full of excitement enough, the second day was jammed packed! I love being with my best friend so it's really hard not to have fun with her, because she is just that awesome! We drove down to the bus stop to catch a bus to Pike's Place Market and had so much yummy and awesome things. We found this hidden wig store that was full of creepy mannequins with double eye lids and two sets of eyelashes, haha. It was so hard to contain my excitement with all the eye catching stores and beauty all around me, I was like a child in a candy store. I must warn you though, there are a lot of photos and some are out of order haha, I am getting so confused with them! Overall, Seattle is amazing and is my home away from home. Oh! Plus we went to go see The Artist and it was great, although I took a snooze since my medicine made me so drowsy, the parts that I saw while concious were GREAT! They totally deserved all the Oscars!

Day 1 in Seattle

Leaving for Seattle was very exciting and I just couldn't wait to get there. The flight was just great, I enjoyed being up in the air and taking amazing scenic photos. I love that I look like a bum haha, my hair was a greaseball so the hat was the ONLY solution, I promise. I will be posting about everyday that I spent in Seattle over the next few days. It was so amazing and I can't wait to go back again to see my best friend more often. I hadn't realized just how much I really did miss her until I was back with her and things were like they had never changed. I love that.

The last two pictures are of the magnificent view Hannah has from her apartment, I loved it every morning and night. I could watch people and the scenery all day, not to be creepy haha.

Hey Seattle!

Finally made it to Seattle yesterday and I have one word for it: BEAUTIFUL! I am so overwhelmed by all the beauty and friendliness of the locals. Everything is so yummy here too, it's just amazing and it's so surreal that I am here with my two best friends. The flight to Seattle was great too and I really enjoyed looking out the window and taking the amazing pictures of the scenery. I flew over the Rocky Mountains and Mt. Rainier and it was just jaw dropping. I couldn't have asked for a better vacation and time to spend with my friends. I'll be gone from my blog until Tuesday so I'll see you guys then!

Packing my bags up for Seattle!

I am in the process of packing my bags to set forth towards Seattle and I couldn't be anymore excited! I can't wait to see Hannah, my bestie and hang out again like old times. She is so amazing and super pretty! It's suppose to rain most of the time, but eh it's not Seattle without a little rain. Trying to keep it casual since most my clothes is packed up for my trip, still got a little bit more packing to do and prepping. I haven't been on a plane in over a year now, so I'm nervous about that too. I'm going with Christina, who is super awesome and I can't wait to spend the next five days with! It's going to be full of late nights, coffee, watching movies, and livin' it up in Seattle! My poor sister came down with the flu today so I had to pick her up, I only hope she gets better. There has been a measles outbreak here where I live and she is freaking out because she thinks she has it...I would hope not! Doubt it though, she doesn't seem to have any red spots anywhere.

Goodbye lump!

Today I wanted to write about something that I had experienced three years ago and the reason behind my tattoo. A lot fo people are shocked or surprised that I have been through this, but I know that there are others out there that have been through the same or similar situation. I look back and now I understand the reasons why I went through them and many of the things that follow since then.

Three years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer, as a young teenager even the doctors and nursed were stunned. I was just so young and quickly became the oddity at the hospital that took care of me. I vividly remember finding my lump in the shower and this cold feeling like I was about to be sick went through my body, I freaked out and yelled at my mom to come check it out. My mom and I made an appointment to see our family practioner the next day. Now this is the part that I will never ever understand, as I was at my appointment and showing my practioner my lump she immediately jumped to conclusions and said it was just a cyst. Just a very large cyst and to my surprise she had never even felt it to check or anything, it's as if I wasn't important enough for her. My mom felt relief though as she too thought maybe it's just a cyst.

From the month of April until November, I carried this "cyst" hoping it would go away on it's own. I never knew that it was actually a tumor growing inside of me. In the beginning of November I had enough with the "cyst" and finally went back again. I had been several times in between but she was very certain it was just a "cyst." This time I told her I wanted to get it checked instead of her checking it so she referred me to St. Vincent. Once we got to St. Vincent, things went by so fast it was like one large blur. One minute there is a doctor and his two student doctors from IU feeling up on my right breast and the next I'm hearing the news about my biopsy. The doctor at St. Vincent had felt the lump and immediately knew it wasn't a cyst, he ordered for a rushed biopsy. Hearing "rushed biopsy" was enough to put me on the edge and have be nervous until I heard the results.

After the results, they told me I needed to do a lumpectomy since it wasn't large enough to do a mastectomy. I was freaking about all of this to take in, believe me when I say freaking out. They ended up having to seduce me with anxiety medication and prep me for surgery. I could only think about my mother at this point, her face was so full of worry and I knew I couldn't do anything about it. She barely could understand half of what was really going on because the doctors wouldn't really explain it that well for her. Once the surgery was done, the therapy began. I don't really want to get too detailed about it, but I can say that I was very lucky as having to avoid longer treatments. I had a loving mother, siblings, and friends to support me no matter what. That was the most important to me and since than I have found out it always will be.

There were many trials and errors throughout my process, my incision from the surgery had reopened at once due to the glue not holding strong enough. It was quite the trip, but after all was done I found someone amazing who helped me love and appreciate life even more, Andrey. If it weren't for my mother being there every step of the way with me, I would have no idea what could have happened. I love her so much and I know she loves me too.

I know this is a very lengthy and wordy post, but I sat and looked at my tattoo today, something I do as a reminder to always check my breasts haha. I wanted to share with all my readers so maybe I can touch or relate to someone who has had similar experiences. It's not easy, I was there but there is a light at the end of every tunnel. So you may be wondering now what the meaning of my tattoo is, well the hourglass is there to always remind me that life is short and one day you will run out of time to do and say all the things you've wanted, so get on it! The pink ribbon is in dedication to my experience and to always remind me to check up!

Let it snow...NO!

Just recently I was shopping for my regular stuff when I saw some of this! It's another brand of dry shampoo and I'm really picky with mine. Many of the dry shampoos have a very strong smell and that throws me off and I sometimes start choking on the heaviness of it in the air! Well this didn't surprise me any bit, it had such a strong smell it was overwhelming. Also, my can started spraying all over the place not just on my hair! It was so messy and heavy in the air I wasn't sure what to do, oh and it ran out in like three tries. How ridiculous is that? Sure I only paid $4 for it but at least more than three times? My friends and family also noted how lovely the "snow" or "dandruff" looked in my hair, only to realize it's the dry shampoo. Needless to say I believe Dove needs to go back to the drawing board on this one for sure.

I can cook!

So I decided to make some steaks tonight with zucchini and yellow squash. I seasoned it with this special Greek seasoning that does magic to everything I cook. I ended up cooking them on a frying pan with extra virgin olive oil and it was amazing! The vegetables were just right and I cooked the fresh green beans in non fat butter for a yummy taste, I was so proud that I could cook such a fresh meal all by myself! Miriam stopped by and my cats were magnetized to her and couldn't leave. She is a cat whisperer...I know it.

Rooster has a twin?

Sunday was a really really good day! We went to go help Miriam out with her car at her salon and while the guys were working on it I got to play and see a lot of stray kitties! I was so freaked out when I saw the cat in the first picture because he looked almost identical to Rooster. I swore it was him at first and I was so confused as to how he got there, haha. Afterwards we treated ourselves to some breakfast at The Donut Shop on Keystone. It was super yummy and they even served bubble tea! I gladly ordered my favorite Taro bubble tea and a scrumptious omelet with mushrooms and lite cheese. We just got to spend so much quality time together and we watched Contagion, which was eh...okay. I'm not crazy about movies with viruses and illness, it just freaks me out and makes me worry. Oh and in case you were wondering, the last photo is of our friend Anton, our single friend. *wink wink*

Red Hair Don't Care

I just wanted to say how much I appreciate all the love and support I've also gotten from my readers! It's because of all the love that I have gotten during my stay in the hospital that has helped me get better. I'm doing much better since I've started my new diet, I still have some pains but that should subside very soon. I have my check up tomorrow for my biopsy, kinda nervous to find out what it is about. I was excited to be able to wear heels again and I had to wear my new pair that I just got recently. They are so surprisingly comfortable, I wore them literally all day and had no feet pains whatsoever. I haven't been able to do laundry for a little while so all that I have are these red pants, haha. Andrey wanted to take my photos inside and insisted that I spice things up instead of taking photos outside. It's too cute how he was telling me how to pose and trying to get the best possible photos for my outfit, I sure love that guy!

It's been awhile...

It's been awhile since I've been able to sit down and relax at a coffee shop with Andrey. I loved it, just being able to enjoy coffee and talk to him was just the cure for a lot of the stress that's been dwelling in my mind for some time. It's also been awhile since I've been to Starbucks and I was excited to order my favorite drink. My iced green tea latte with soy, vanilla bean powder substituted for the classic syrup. Shake it all up and it's quite the treat! We got to catch up on a lot from the past week since we only got to see each other for a little while, I sure missed him! I've started a new diet and looking into possibly starting a gluten free diet due to my conditions. I am not sure what to do right now, but I am trying to eat as healthy as I can.

It's times like these...

After coming home from the hospital and getting back into my normal routine I can truly say I've never missed anything so much. I came home to the puppies ripping up their potty pad and I don't think I've ever enjoyed cleaning something up so much before, haha. I wanted to thank everyone that I love and care about for all the time they spent to visit and make sure I was doing alright. Knowing that there are people who do care for you in these situations is such a warming feeling and seeing all my friends and family made me so happy...if only St. Vincent allowed my babies to visit. Promise this is the very last post about the hospital, I know it's not a fun topic but I had to mention how amazing the ones I love are.

I knew it wasn't easy for Andrey to see me in the hospital, but he visited me everyday and was there for me always. I love him so much!

My mother broke my heart when I woke up to her sleeping with me in my room. She is the best mother ever, no matter what!

I wouldn't know what to do without my littlest brother, he truly is a gift from God. I enjoy every minute that I get to spend with him.

Andrey's mom aka my mama and Anna (Andrey's sister, who is basically my sister-in-law) came to visit me and brought along Sophia. I hadn't seen them for a little bit and I sure did miss them, oh and they brough me a beautiful bouquet of bright colored flowers. Seeing their faces and knowing that they care about me made me feel better inside, I was struggling with some mini depression in the hospital. My friend Kasey surprised me with a pot of flowers and I'm in love with it, the flowers and the Yogi tea was amazing. Hey I'm back!

I'm finally home and feeling much better. I had a lot of digestive problems during the past week that I won't go into great detail with, sorry! I'm just glad I'm back home with my babies who missed me so much and I can relax in peace. I did a lot of thinking while I was at the hospital and I've decided that to make enough money to pay off my hospital bills, (which are going to be crazy high) I am going to be selling all or most of my dress collection. Many of which have only been worn once and have been loved so dearly. Sometimes when times are tough you got to sacrifice some things and hopefully selling my dresses will help pay off some of my bills.

Best Valentines Day ever...

I want to say sorry for the lack of posts these few days, I was at work on Monday when I realized my side had started to hurt again. It hurt so bad I thought I was going to vomit and than of course I did. I thought at first it was my cysts in my ovaries again but than I started having worst symptoms to the point I had to go to the emergency room. I've been in the emergency now for over 24 hours and will be until tomorrow. They believe I may have Crohn's disease and I have to have a colonoscopy done tomorrow, oh I can't wait of course. I woke up this morning though for Valentines Day to my boyfriend and mom and my nurse board that said "Get Better!" my nurses were just so sweet to me. It sucks just sitting here waiting for another test to be done, I've done like five now and not much has been found that what was known. It's really frustrating but as my readers I hope that you can understand. I'll be back soon, promise!

I received my Birchbox in the mail and it was so exciting to see a little hot pink box waiting for me! I quickly ran inside before walking the pups to check out what was inside. Since we've moved into our new house, I've fallen more and more in love with this tree. It's so beautiful and the leaves during the fall are amazing. They can be a bit of a pain raking up but it's all worth it. Sometimes I just want to be a little child and climb up it, but I'm sure my neighbors might think its a little weird, only a little though. I bought these red colored pants yesterday at TJ Maxx and to tell the truth I thought I would never like them. Once I put them on I fell in love, it was like love at first try! I love this casual look, the cardigan is my favorite and it's perfect for the best doing chores outfit. Oh and my boots magically match my pants, how neat is that?! It's almost like it's undeniable that they should be together. Oh yeah, I just did that. Did you notice I threw in some Brian McKnight? No? Am I the only one who rocks to "Back At One" when I'm alone? Geez.

Doin' the lazy

Oh geez, I really need to cool it on the laziness this week. I've really been feeling like just staying home and joining the babies in some extra lovin' and cuddlin'. Remember when I said I'm going to start wearing more pants...well the time has come! I bought these pants from TJ Maxx and oh man, I could sleep in them all day. They feel like leggings and are practical with anything. This year I've decided that I am going to start really working on a new wardrobe, a new updated me. I never have dressed much for my body and I've come to realize that a LOT of the items in my closet aren't very flattering to me. I need to start wearing clothes that are more accentuating for my body and still have my pizazz! I'm going to be writing a post soon about dressing for certain body parts, in particular to larger calves and other areas haha.

I was definitely feeling extra lovey dovey towards my babies today, they were all being so sweet. Fredo and Sonny couldn't get enough of the attention and bombarded me while I was taking outfit photos. Of course my littlest babies Rooster and Hen were too cute and were purring it up. Rooster is always the one who is like "Mom! You're embarrassing me!", he's is too cool for me now. I wasn't feeling like leaving the house today, was really into nesting haha. I made a big pile of blankets on the sofa and watched Friends Season 9 while eating a scrumptious lava cake from Trader Joe's. Those things are soooo delicious, it's ridiculous what amazing sweets you can find there.

Oi Carlos!

Last night was AMAZING with an extra zing! My sister, Soonie and I had so much fun running around doing silly stuff. We drove down to Broad Ripple to throw in some spontaneous thrifting right before the comedy show! My sister is so funny and awesome, I just love how we can go do random stuff throughout the day together and find cool things at Goodwill. I found this awesome green oversized cardigan, it is sooo soft and cute. I can't wait to style it with skinny jeans and some heels.

Is my sister cute or what guys? She totally is, I still can't believe she just turned 18. She looks so young and tiny(lucky her!) and it feels just like yesterday she was a little girl stealing my makeup and clothes. After all that crazy thrifting we headed over to Cracker's Comedy Club and enjoyed us a night with Carlos Alazraquis, who was by the way hilarious! The entire show from start to finish was amazing, Soonie and I were right next to the stage enjoying our drinks and watching him.

I gotta say his show was probably the best comedy show I've seen live ever, I was laughing so hard that I hadn't realized that my sister was to my right not my left and was hitting the guy next to me while laughing. I can have violent laughing episodes sometimes and hitting someone(not hard!) can be included so watch out! Of course when I found out that it wasn't my sister I was hitting, I quickly realized how awkward this was because he was with his wife. Oh geez, the things I manage to find myself getting in to. For the rest of the night that wife had her panties in a tight bunch over that, eek!

Don't you love how I managed to sneak in a outfit post? Yeah, I know it's poorly lighted and grainy but like I said before once, something is better than nothing I suppose. Oh and as if just seeing Carlos Alazraqui wasn't enough, Soonie and I managed to take asian tourist photos with him. Oh what a night!

Rewind than Fast Forward

I was going through some old photos of mine and realized that I had two very similar pictures in the sense that these were both taken on my birthday. In both photos I am in the one on the adorable one on the right and the cutie patootie on the left is my darling younger sister. I remember having this birthday at a place similar to Chuck-E-Cheese but it was in Texas. I was so special they gave me a VIPP pass, only the coolest of the cool kids get them.

I love my sister and having these photos of us to remember each other by are precious and aren't our ears! They are the same now and I love it! People always though we were twins because of our ears, we have what people used to tease us called, "Dumbo Ears" or "Satellites." When I was younger I used to cry so easily because of the mean remarks but now I know that my ears are one of the many things that make me unique. Embrace it!

Growing into the woman that I am now and seeing my younger sister grow too is absolutely crazy! It happens so quickly and before I knew it I was trying to grasp onto whatever time I had left to spend with my younger sister. Growing up with her wasn't easy either we were frenemies, but now it's a totally different thing. I love her like my sister and see her as my best friend.

Day of Relaxation

I decided I needed a day to just relax and focus on myself for once. I've been worried about this and that and other people for such a long time that I haven't stopped to think about my needs. Well I definitely am going to just stay home after work and play with the babies. This morning I tried out a new lip color by Princess Marcella Borghese in Misto Rosa 74 (they no longer carry the color), I love it so much! It's the perfect duo of pink and red for me. Than afterwards I decided to play with my hair and put it in a somewhat messy fishtail braid, I used to do this all the time when I worked at Starbucks since it's efficient and cute!

Fredo already tried to work his magic this morning when he saw me pull out the macarons. I took a quick grocery trip to Trader Joe's and grabbed my favorites, lava cake and macarons! Oh they are really the best and for 12 macarons only for 4.99 you REALLY can't beat that at all. They are the perfect breakfast snack and way to start your day that's for sure. Fredo and Sonny are growing so beautifully and their German Shepherd in them are becoming more prominent as they lighten up. I couldn't love them any more, they are the perfect pair and know how to make me happy no matter what.

I was driving past one of my favorite parks today and couldn't help but take my outfit shots here! The sun was in perfect harmony with the scenery, I love the break of dusk. Indiana has really been holding up on the great weather! I'm so surprised since the groundhog told us we had six more weeks of winter and it's in the 50's here. (don't worry I knocked on wood) I'm not complaining at all though, that's for sure! I hope it just holds up like this and stays warm all over because soon I'm traveling to Seattle and I would love for it to be nice weather while I visit. I took a trip to the local craft store today to make goodies and hopefully start my own store on etsy. I found a new love in making a certain somethings and I can't wait to show you! Oh and before I forget the matryoshka in the first photo was a gift from a very special person, it's in remembrance of him. He was an amazing person and I will forever remember and respect him.

I did it!

Over the weekend I decided that I was going to dive into the world of baking again and give it a shot. I have several baking cookbooks, mostly because the beautiful photos of food are so addicting! I finally chose a pistachio recipe from my book Cupcake Heaven. It has so many delicious recipes I'm excited to create in the near future! I also recieved my Miette recipe book in the mail and can't wait until I'm profficient enough in baking to begin on the recipes in there.

So without a further ado!

For the cupcake:

I added all of the ingredients and than I just mixed it all up so that it became this globby green goo, haha. It should have bits of the nuts showing for that extra flavor in the cupcake!

For the frosting:

The frosting was very easy, I forgot to mention that you should add just a teaspoon of lemon juice, it adds an extra boost to the flavor and really compliments the nuttiness. Oh and be very careful with the food coloring, adding just a tiny bit is just enough because you want a very pastel green color for the cupcake.

For the baking:

As you can see the photo in the book looks much cuter and appetizing, BUT the taste was amazing! These was sooo good and I brought them to my sister-in-law, Miriam's new apartment! My brother kept stealing a few from the counter and by the time I noticed half the batch was gone haha. I guess I did good this time, go me!

I saw this today and I just had to share the most loveliest inspiration board by Camille Styles. This is definitely my new favorite now, I am in love with those flats (need to get on that DIY!) and everything else fits just perfectly. Those doughnuts are teasing me I just know it!

p.s. I know I've been really falling off the bandwagon with the February photo-a-day challenge. I've come to realize that it's really hard to do without a iPhone, so I am going to have to peace out on this challenge. I just don't have the time in the day for it and my babies need me!

Here comes the sun

It's so wet outside so I wasn't wanting to travel too far from my home to take photos. All of a sudden it's weird and fun to think that so many celebrities are in town to see the Super Bowl. Apparently Ryan Gosling is in town and he bought drinks for everyone at bars downtown. Oh geez, where was I? Ha! My friend told me she spotted Lady Gaga at the Circle Center mall, I think it's so funny how a lot of my friends are running around downtown just to see celebrities all day. I had my share and the ones I saw were enough, although Ryan Gosling wouldn't be bad. By the time Monday rolls around though, this city will be back to normal as usual.

Sean's First Concert!

I took my brother, Sean, to his very first concert ever, I believe due to this event I may have won the "Best Sister Award." The look of excitement and nervousness bundled up inside of him was so cute and his smile was so cute! Sean was so nervous and scared by the workers who had to scan us, he just froze and wouldn't move. I had to pick him up and calm him down a little so that he wouldn't get embarrassed by the people in line who were laughing at him. The concert was definitely a sight to see as I had never been in a live concert, especially my younger brother who is only seven. Thank goodness I wasn't the only one who brought a younger child, there were several other kids there watching and dancing.

B.o.B. was amazing at the concert and really put on a great show. He played a few of my favorite songs and they brought back memories, almost brought me to tears. My little brother had a blast with Gym Class Heroes and Adam Levigne. They played his favorite song, "Stereo Heart" he looked so happy singing along and seeing some of his favorite singers in person. I am so happy I got to make my baby brother's day, I love him so much like my own child. He's the best brother any sister could ask for. He even knows about my blog and offered to take a outfit post, haha. I was wearing concert clothes so I am all bundled and comfy, please mind me. It's so cute how he kept trying to get a picture of me, he gets a better picture though as he progresses, I'm sure he is better than I was when I was seven.

Enjoy some of the videos I got from the concert, they aren't the best but I wasn't focused on making videos. I wanted to take in the experience!

Coi Crackers Comedy Club!

Yesterday was a day of mixed emotions. I was really missing my best friend, Hannah, who lives in Seattle so bad I wanted to cry. I know that in exactly 20 days I will see her though and I can't be more excited, seriously! I got home after work and was getting ready for the Pepsi Fan Jam Concert downtown when I get a random phone call. I usually don't answer but for some reason this time I did, thank goodness I did! I got a surprsing phone call from Crackers Comedy Club! I had just went there earlier this week. They told me that they would be delighted if I were to come for another show at any of their locations, either Broad Ripple or downtown. I was estatic because I knew Carlos Alazraqui, was going to be in town for that show next Wednesday! I have always loved his Reno 911 show since it began and can't wait until I get to see him live. It's always amazing to get random phone calls with great news, I love it!

Li-ho Anthropologie!

As I was sitting at home petting Rooster and Hen, I realized that I had never reviewed Anthropologie! I was so surprised that one of my most favorite stores had gone unattended from me for so long. I quickly got dressed and ran to my car, heels and all to go check it out! It had been a while since I went to visit because of work and going to the hospital for check ups. It was perfect timing, truly! A day off, nothing planned until night and I felt energetic. I couldn't pass it up for anything at the moment. I was so estatic when I got there because I always love looking at all the fabulous and quirky decor they have displayed around the store. It's like one big eye candy store for me! I took so many pictures that I had to cut out only the ones that weren't perfect, it was a tough decision guys! I fell in love with the idea of using a suitcase as a shelf, isn't it just so cute! I love those necklaces too, they were so colorful and summery.

This is what I call paradise...no joking! I instantly felt so comfortable in this little pod and it was amazing! It made me want to go and build a mini version at home for my babies and me as a fort! It would be so much fun just to relax and read under. I loved it so much I actually started reading a small book on that bed, the ladies kept smiling at me but it was just too cozy to leave. How could you?! Plus the light ball they had in there was so dreamy, it gave such a beautiful light. I could fall asleep to that any night.

So after all the eye candy I am actually going to be showing you three outfits that I picked out from the store. Now mind you my brain was definitely not focused on clothing, I was too drawn into the esthetics of the store and the home decor ideas I was trying to copy, haha.

I adore this look and this dress! I'm so glad I got this jacket because like my personality it's colorful but laid back at the same time! I wanted to buy it so badly but I knew that I was broke from all the college tuition and bills I pay, ugh! I keep telling myself it may go on the sales racks!

I felt a bit milk maidish in this dress and blouse, but a cute milk maid. I would definitely wear this blouse with a skirt next time, the blouse was too lovely to cover up! Oh and this dress, it's so unique that I had to at least try it on, I loved the texture and color of it! It was a fun outfit that made me feel pretty and dainty, two things that I like.

So you know when you look at an outfit and somehow it looks a LOT better in your head than in real life? Well this my dear is a prime example! I guess I was so inspired by all the floral print that my brain had an overload and took me back to the seventies. I felt so funny in this outfit that I started laughing as I got dressed, but you know what?! I would totally rock it if I had to! It's all about owning what you wear, not the clothing owning you!

I found this lovely store on Etsy just recently and I HAD to share it! Lately I've been in love with peter pan collards and it's so exciting to find something that I can wear as a necklace, but also as a collar just in case my dress or top doesn't have one. I think it's too cute and charming and I just can't figure out which one I want to get. I love the beige and the white one, ah I hate trying to figure out what I want when there are so many great things. I'm like a child in a candy store, no really! So the Super Bowl is in town and downtown is crazy! I was excited to see the action so I went downtown to see the Jimmy Fallon show and got a free t-shirt! I met this really cool guy with an amazing Jimmy Fallon hat and I got to meet Jimmy Fallon's crewmate! Tracy Morgan's car driver even was nice enough to take a picture with me! It was nice seeing my city so full of life! I had a great night and I saw Jimmy Fallon, Tracy Morgan, and Tim Tebow! I even got a video of Tim Tebow telling me "Happy Birthday!" I couldn't believe it! I have the video on my camera and it's crazy because I tried to upload it and it's saying its malfunctioning! Nooooo! Doesn't this always happen? I am going to try and use another computer tomorrow to see if it works, it's weird because it works on my camera. It's real I promise!!! Downtown was a great scene and it reminded me of New York almost because by the time it got dark, it was completely packed! I had fun and tried to leave as soon as possible before drunk people started driving and terrible traffic began.

Normally I would give you guys the recipe to something I made successfully, but today the keyword is successfully. I was not successful, at all. I think it's because I realized I ran out of baking soda and probably added too much milk. I really tried to make a healthy cookie dough that I can eat from Katie's Chick Pea Cookie Dough recipe. As I was trying I realized after I tasted it that this is probably not right at all haha. The only one who liked it was Rooster, he liked it enough to sneek some from the bowl while I wasn't looking. He has a huge sweet tooth and it's terrible! If he could choose his diet it would consist of madelienes, mints, and milk. No joke! If I leave any of those on the table he will get them.

So yes, I am definitely not perfect haha. I'm never really prepared with all the neccessary equipment which can always be a problem. Oh well, I tried. Maybe next time I'll get it right. But for those who are better at cooking you chould check the recipe out, it looks delicious!

Sga-noh Angels Burlesque!

I've been kind of doing the same old thing everyday lately so I thought I would stir things up by going to the Angel Burlesque show at Crackers Comedy Club. I love their burlesque shows because they aren't crazy but they are fun and different. This time they were sports themed in many of the skits and I just loved that little roller derby lady! She was the sweetest lil thang, yeah I said lil and thang. I lived in the Georgia/Alabama for some time. I can say it! I had a good night and thought things were going great but of course, I come home and this is what I find.

Apparently, when mommy has fun Fredo and Sonny do not. They were not happy at all about me being gone for two and half hours. They were very plotting and must have thought that murdering Booger Bear was the only way to get revenge. Poor bear, there wasn't much left of him when I got to him, made me sad. I only hope he is somehow resting in peace where all passed teddy bears go.

Chíkmàa Urban Outfitters!

I've only been to an Urban Outfitters a hand full of times but haven't been able to go since they never had one in this area. Well just recently they build one at the Keystone at the Crossing Mall and it was exciting to check it out. Of course the time I choose to do a review, I am broke and can't make any current purchase. I can't wait to pay off these hospital bills! I had to recently go to the Emergency Room because I had cysts in my ovaries that had burst, it was one of the most painful experiences I ever went through. What are you going to do though? Life happens and you got to keep on doing what you love! So of course I went eye shopping and decided to do a review over the things I saw at Urban Outfitters.

I want to start off by saying I wanted every single imaginable pair of shoes in this store! I could have worn and incorporated each pair everyday, all day. I especially love this Urban Outfitters location because of the large mirrors, those are always wonderful. I wish my room could have just one wall dedicated to a large mirror, not enough room though. Eh...

As you guys probably guess I have again three different looks I am going to show you from Urban Outfitters. I personally love each one in a different way, I am trying so hard to incorporate shorts into my wardrobe. Been on the fence about them for quite a while, but I might start liking them soon.

Look One:

I love this cutout dress so much because it reminds me of confetti at a party! Everybody loves confetti, whether at a party, on a birthday cake, or a dress! It's just so much fun to wear and I'd love to have this cut of dress for the summer. I am so ready to hit the beach! I could see me wearing this over a bikini for a day in the sun.

Look Two:

This is the outfit that I love but still am unsure of. Like I said earlier, I am not a big fan of wearing shorts or pants in general, I feel like they emphasize my larger calves and that isn't something I want being done. Maybe it's just be but yeah that is why. I love having the flowiness of this cropped blouse, although sometimes I feel like my larger chest seems to make it look awkward. I had to make a reappear of these shoes, they are by far my most prized possessions in my closet. Best shoes in the world!

Look Three:

Aren't you loving those shoes? I know! I know! You guys are like, "Enough about those shoes, let's move on...!" well than I will move on, geez. I can't say enough about this outfit because I just found a newborn love for bodysuits! This top is actually a bodysuit and I love it because it doesn't become untucked from the pants (which I am in love with!) I always have had a thing for high-waisted pants and these suit me just right! Oh and the back for the bodysuit is just too cute and sexy, my favorite combo lately haha. It has just the right amount of vintage vibe to it, just right for me!

I will end on the note that the lovely lady at Urban Outfitters who took my pictures was amazing and did a great job! She was so sweet and I enjoyed the review process. I enjoy Urban Outfitters and this location is still new so the sales racks weren't too exciting just yet! I said just yet though! I will be searching for great finds amongst all the other stuff!

This Saturday we decided to be lazy all day and slept in until around four in the afternoon. It felt great to catch up on some sleep I had missed over the week. We just laid in bed all day with the babies, it was so cute to see Rooster and Fredo napped together. They are like brothers and I love that. My heart definitely melted once I saw Andrey and Rooster cuddling when I woke up, it's just too precious! Sometimes doing not much of anything can be the best thing to do! Once we woke up though we decided to treat our lazy selves to some Flemings Steak House. Oh my gosh! The steak and the lava cake was amazing! We had gotten a gift card for Christmas so that definitely was great. A regular steak was at least thirty bucks! WHAT?! I know! It was pretty crazy but I mean how many times do we do this? I loved it and kind of felt spoiled haha. They gave us our dessert for free and it was the best lava cake I had ever had, they sprinkled pistachios over the vanilla ice cream and had home made whipped cream. Oh and those raspberries and chocolate! I only wish I had a photo to share with you! I was so caught up in the moment I forgot to sneak a snap!

Hello Pitaya!

Just the other day I asked one of my friends where she got her dress because it was too cute! The print and cut of the dress made me want to find one just like it. When she told me where she got it she said, "Pitaya." I had never heard of this boutique before and was very curious as to what it was like. So today I went to check it out and was welcomed to do a review on their cute boutique in the heart of Broad Ripple.

Instantly when I walked in I knew I would love this place! Everything was so unique and in style and I love the vintage vibe many of their clothing had. Jjanga has fallen in love again with yet another store. I enjoyed it so much I ended up buying one of their dresses, something so basic but had a funky feel to it. I had to snatch it up, no regrets!

All of the accessories were absolutely adorable and I had to refrain myself from buying the entire rack, ha. Something that isn't too easy, needs practicing. I love how they even had a little cosmetic area with NYX products, those nails colors were my favorite! I'm so wrapped up in this store, I was already planning my next visit while I was still here! To give my readers an idea of the type of clothing Pitaya has, I chose three outfits that I thought were too cute to pass up. Take a look!

Look One:

My heart melted with this look because the top was oh too chic! I loved how simple but complex it was and how I could use it virtually anywhere, work, night out, or everyday. I chose to pair it with this skirt to give it a dressier look and as everyone should know by now, Chevron is back! The print on this skirt gives it an edgy look for a night out, but still subtle enough for work. I could live in this outfit at my desk forever, literally!

Look Two:

This outfit was by far my favorite! Doesn't it just scream seventies? I stole that skirt of the mannequin and paired it with a dress! Yes ladies, underneath this skirt is a dress. Who would've known how cute it would turn out to be? I love the idea of using dresses as tops, it gives the dress more use! You got to love that! The print on this skirt was way too adorable not to try on, so of course I did. I would most likely wear this out to lunch with a friend or just to my classes. Oh did I mention that I am obsessed with bell sleeves? So much that I couldn't leave without it!

Oh ladies! Valentines Day is coming up and I know all of you are wondering what to wear for that special day with your date! I spotted this dress from a mile away because the print had this charm to it, I couldn't resist. The flow to this dress is so flattering and comfortable (which is a big plus for me) because nobody wants to be uncomfortable on their big date. Plus, it's the perfect length, not too short or too long so you can show a little leg and look classy! I'd suggest throwing in some cute tights since it's still chilly!

My entire experience at Pitaya was great and the lovely three ladies who helped me out were so sweet! I've never had better customer service before. I think each of them looked adorable and they really know how to represent their store. Oh and you have got to see that little pup, her name is Sophie (I believe...don't quote me on that) and she has got to be the cutest, most fashionable pup I've ever met. She definitely knew where to shop at.

So as you can see I am ecstatic about this new boutique and I can't wait to come back and snag a few more dresses for my wardrobe. I would highly recommend it to anybody and I know they have other locations around the States, so take a look at their website. It's always great to find a new place to shop at, something refreshing and different and you can't beat the price with most items well under $40. I hope that you guys enjoy this boutique just as much as I do and if there is one close by to you, stop by and take a look. I promise you won't be disappointed! Don't you just love the color of this dress? I've never bought anything so bright, but it's exciting. Wearing this dress gave me more confidence, I swear! It's just so lovely and the details. That peter pan collar, those little buttons, and the lace trimming. Got to love it! It's such a fun dress to wear, especially for the weekend! Oh and remember when I said I got two shoes for eight bucks at Plato's Closet? Well these below are one of them! Can you believe it? These babies for eight bucks?! That's a bargain I can't beat...or can I? I tend to be the person who likes to still get the most bang for my buck and reduce prices when it comes to second hand and thrift stores.

Oh Happy Food Friday!

During my work day one of my amazing clients went out and got me lunch. I was so busy so I wasn't able to leave and grab a bite. It's so great to know that others care about you and are willing to go out of their way to grab you something yummy to eat. I was surprised with the selection, it all looked so delicious. My client went to Zoup and got me Chicken potpie soup, Sourdough bread (was so warm and delicious!), and a oatmeal raisin cookie. I was completely stuffed by the time I got to the cookie so I am saving that for later munching. I'm so happy now! Oh and I was feeling so great I finally purchased Miette's cookbook. I've decided that from now on I am going to start baking more often, nothing to serious. Just pure fun! Can't wait until it arrives in the mail!

Farvel Bad Habits!

1. Chewing my nails, as you can see from the picture above I tend to do this a lot! Something I realized as a kid is incredibly gross and keep going on and off with it. I need to stop it this year!

2. Falling asleep, yes to most people this is a blessing, but to me it's a curse! If you know me as well as my friends do, you would know that I can literally fall asleep anywhere. I'm sure it's because I'm anemic since my mother is, but still!

3. Overeating, ah I am trying so hard not to. My metabolism is rather quick for an average person but still...I want to nip it in the bud before it slows down. Plus it can't be healthy for me!

4. Saying "ummm", this is why I don't do good at videos. I always say umm about a bajillion times and nobody wants to hear that, I mean I don't even want to hear it!

5. Spoiling my babies, unfortunately this is something I have come to realization with. You can't turn back time, but I can learn not to sneak them that leftover piece of food or cuddle them after they've done something wrong (terrible I know!)

6. Talking too fast, as a native Korean it's very difficult for me to slow down in speaking sometimes because the Korean language is so fast pace. Most of the time people have no idea what I just said, ha and sometimes I even stutter.

7. Taking things too far, oh geez I am notorious for this. Sometimes my pride just won't let me stop and I keep going at it, usually making it worse. I REALLY need to stop this one, it isn't easy but will be worth it.

8. Licking my lips, thank goodness for lip balm. Am I right?! Yeah it's awful.

9. Waiting for the last minute to do laundry, oh man I really need to stop it. My room ends up looking like my clothes threw up all over my carpet by the time Sunday rolls around.

10. Assuming things, this one is by far my worst enemy. It's a hard one to fight, I just lack a lot of trust in people some times. I grew up in a hard situation and have had many people stab me in the back, it's something I need to get over. I know not everyone is like this! There are amazing people out there!

Well that's all that I got! I'm sure there are other nasty habits that I have, none that come to mind as of the moment but we will see. I want to thank all of you readers again for taking the time to read my posts, Love you guys!

Rain rain go away!

When I woke up this morning I already knew it was going to be a rainy and drab day, but as you guys must have figured out, I like to fight the weather! I always win, in my own little way. Instead of being weather neutral I decided to be a little daring and pair two bold but similar prints together. Sorry for the blurry pictures today, the rainy weather wasn't letting my camera focus, but some pictures is better than none I would suppose. I love both pieces because of the water color like print of flower, it's so happy and colorful. If somebody thought what you wear has no effect on your emotions, let this be a lesson! It certainly does! Wearing this made the rain not half as bad and in fact after a short bit I didn't even notice it. Enough about weather talk though, I feel like I talk so much about it I might as well be a weather...woman? Ha. All day though I have been thinking about going to Seattle to see my bestie Hannah. I realized I need new clothes to wear! So after work I hop, skipped, and ran myself to Plato's Closet and TJ Maxx, no matter how much I make I always love a good bargain (recycled clothes is always a plus in my book!) I had some luck at Plato's Closet and found two new pairs of shoes. I definitely got some lucky stars at TJMaxx because I hauled a cart full of dresses for just $50, score!

Is that wall of shoes amazing or what?! I always love going to Plato's since their prices are just right. The two shoes I found were $8 each! I couldn't even believe how amazing the price was. Excuse the rain dampered hair and makeup, I didn't realize how messy I looked until after I took this picture. I'm only human, we all have our messy days, mine somehow tend to coincide with my shopping days, hmm. Anyways! I'll keep you guys posted on the new items I bought, hope to hear what you think.

I have always had an obsession for small, unique, and delicate pieces of jewelry. TinnLily's collection of bracelets, earrings, and necklaces fit that beautiful description. I love how simplistic her design is and how she incorporated different elements into each piece. My favorite of them all is Quartz and Onyx necklace, it's just so charming! Zdravo secret bridge!

What a perfect way to start my new relationship with my coat, with snow! This my readers, is the coat I bought for $13, yes thirteen bucks! I must admit these pictures do it no justice, I wasn't able to capture the peter pan collar and all it's glory. My hair always seems to be in the way in the most inconvenient times.

It's always fun to take pictures in the snow, although it was a little slushier than normal (who cares?) I found this secret bridge on my way home and I just had to do a photo shoot here. Isn't it lovely? I feel like the past two days, time has really been dragging and by dragging I mean the kind that dogs do with their butts across the carpet. It's slow, poopy, and icky at the same time. My sister cheered me up though and invited me to a Just Dance war at my mom's house. I've been getting better, but it's still so surprising how good both my siblings are at it. I'm just not physically coordinated, I comprehend things backwards sometimes. I have dyslexia so often times I see numbers backwards, sometimes I read backwards, most often I write in backwards order. I'm convinced now that I see the dance moves backwards, ha! I wouldn't be surprised if I did.

Ahoj The Latest Thing!

Once I got home from work and walked the pups, I felt the urge to go shopping. Bahaha, what girl doesn't? That was a silly statement, let me rephrase that. I wanted to go shopping in hopes to find a new winter coat. As I was rummaging through my coat closet, I realized two thing. One I only have dark coats and two none of them are all too cute. So my quest to find the perfect jacket began, countless hours sweating over Etsy, Modcloth, and Asos. I just couldn't find anything that would suit me and my budget (very poor one thanks to my four babies!) My friend Christina decided we go to Simply Chic, it's a second hand store and it's similar to Plato's Closet but for a more mature look. I had never been before so I was willing to tag along and see how it was.

Maybe it just wasn't my day for shoes, but everything that was cute today was either size 10 or 6! What happened to size 9? So as I was beginning to give up on the shoes and all of the dresses I started searching through the coats in hopes to find my future coat...well guess what?! I found it and oh boy, she is perfect! Plus I got her for a whopping 12.99, can you believe it. You won't get to see her until tomorrow, but she's worth waiting for!

Didn't I tell you? I was going to be going back to The Flying Cupcake soon or what? I couldn't get them out of my head and had to try another one. This time I chose the Strawberry Shortcake and man, it was GOOD! The strawberry filling was amazing and I'm pretty sure I might have a new favorite...I still will always have a place in my heart for red velvet anytime though. The entire cupcake store was filled with amazing items and the walls were amazing, they hand stenciled every design! That's true dedication! Going to The Flying Cupcake is a true treat for all senses and I can't wait to come back again.

Happy Lunar New Year!

So today was the Lunar New Year and everyone in China, Taiwan, Korea, and all parts of asia are celebrating! Usually my mother has more energy to cook a huge meal consisting of all the yummy favorites such as Kimchi-Chige, Yukejang, and tons of delicious sides. Unfortunately though my mom was feeling a little under the weather from working all week and decided we will eat out...at Houlihans. Not my favoritest place, they are overpriced and not that good, plus other than my little sister's boyfriend, all the other service was so so. Anywho! I suprised my mother by stopping by the Flying Cupcake to grab her a red velvet cupcake, it's tradition to give something red and I couldn't afford a lobster so...this was just going to have to do. Let me tell you though, I'm pretty sure this one cupcake beat any lobster by a landslide! My whole family isn't too much into sweets but with this one it made us all gather round the table. My boyfriend's sister Miriam (basically my sister-in-law) took these lovely pictures of me, I totally got wrapped up in the store's beauty and forgot to snap some photos. Don't fret though I will visit again very very very soon and snap some photos for you guys to enjoy!

Can I just say that my family is probably the most awkward photo takers? In the above photo of me, my brother decided how I should pose. The decided pose is only something a 7 year old boy would choose, eh? It wouldn't be a Korean New Year without any dancing and singing right? So, thanks to my younger sister you guys are going to enjoy a video of me and my brother playing Just Dance, by far one of the funnest games ever. I will be posting this sometime soon, since Youtube takes forever to upload anything...ugh!

Can you believe this is my mother? She looks like my sister, everyone always thinks she is. I can only hope to mature as she has, she's got the good genes. I'm only nervous to find out what kind my father has...eek! Oh and if you haven't noticed the picture of me throwing up my peace sign, you should take a look again...my brother has a keen way of making himself awkard in all background photos. I'm telling you! Organizing Sunday!

Before cleaning

Today I woke up rather late and realized I needed to get things done. I have been eyeing my closet for quite some time and realized today was the day! I had a bunch of clothes that I just don't wear and haven't worn for at least several months just taking up space. I went through all of my clothes and came up with a pile, not too big or too small, to donate to Goodwill. I mean I take from Goodwill why not give back, am I right?

After cleaning

Oh boy, my closet looks ten times better now and it feels great to know that I now have more room for cuter and better clothes. I'm working on building my wardrobe, especially the dresses. I love wearing dresses more than anything else, since they are so easy to put on and make you look cuter! I'm usually pretty lazy on Sundays, I just do a little cleaning around the house with Andrey, but today I'm happy! I got something accomplished for the week. Next stop is to by shoe containers, I want to have my own shoe wardrobe since I have way too many and not enough room.

Arlow Arcadia!

When I first got this purse I had mixed feelings for it. I loved it because it had this vintage vibe to it but still looked modern...but what I didn't love was the patent leather. I've never been a fan of patent leather because it always reminds me of dominatrix sorts of things...it's terrible I know. My mind started changing once I realized how useful the material was, I'm rather messy so this comes in great handy. Plus the shape of the bag is formed, that means the items in my purse (like my camera) are unlikely to get as damaged. I have a terrible habit of flinging my purses wherever, which needs to stop this year. The smell of the leather is different too, I've never had a designer purse so I'm not used to that smell of new leather, but it's worth getting used to. I'd have to say though, of all designer purses I think Arcadia might suit me just perfectly. It's no Chanel, but I also don't have a grande to drop on a purse. I have school tuition and hospital bills to pay!
