I have been feeling a bit under the weather these past few days with a sore throat, fever, aching back, and what not so I haven't really posted anything new recently that's been going on because well...it ain't that pretty, haha. The prettiest thing that's happened recently is my little sister, Soonie, going to prom with her boyfriend. They are just too cute together and I was so happy to take their pictures because they came out just great! My little sister is so beautiful and for the first time I took her to get her eyebrows done and she looked all grown up, almost put a tear in my eye.
P.S. Doesn't my sister look like a little Korean Disney princess? She is adorable!

So I know some of you have been curious as to what my road trip to what I for some reason thought was to Kentucky, but was actually to Tennessee, was all about. Well it was a huge shock and deal to me because for the first time in eighteen years I met my father and my side of his family. I don't wan to go to into great detail as to what happened but I was seperated when I was a little child from him through my parents divorce. Just earlier this year I had felt this weird sense that I should start searching for him again and found him on...here comes the surprise...FACEBOOK! Can you believe that?! It was such a shock for me and a rush of so many emotions I could barely contain myself. So since then we had talked through Skype and finally planned to meet last weekend. The six hour drive to and from was completely worth it and I had the time of my life meeting my other half of my family. It's so amazing how much we have in common and our similarities were endless! Nonetheless I had an amazing time with my father and the rest of my great family, even their little doxie was the sweetest thing! Oh and can I say the steak that I feasted on that weekend was the size of my face and was cooked for a Queen! I can't wait to go back and see them again and I just couldn't wait to share this with you, it's been hard keeping this secret!

I know I do talk a lot about Miriam and Lily's salon, Biz on Fletcher but it's only because it's super awesome and all the people who work there (including my awesome friends) are so nice and talented! Yesterday was the salon's 5th birthday and it was really awesome for them to throw a party with a ton of complimentary services! From 4:30 to 7:30 I was in heaven, no seriously there was shrimp cocktail served, I really couldn't have asked for more than that. Those three hours I got pampered like a princess and it was just so sweet and awesome to be able to hang out and talk with my friends and get my nails, hurr, and face all done up! I got this super cool and effective plant peel done by Marta and my face looked super squeaky clean and oh so soft afterwards! Haley of course was too sweet and did my nails to make them ready for summer! Aren't they adorable?! Gosh I wish everyday was like this some times, but of course got to get home to give my babies some lovies!

I've been a busy this week with Dancercise, running after wet dogs and cats, and preparing for a road trip to meet a surprise person that I almost forgot to post this! On Monday I went and got an awesome pedicure by the talented and magic-handed Miriam! She tamed my barking dogs and made them into beautiful polished poodles! I always love driving to her salon because I get to go through Mass Ave and always get tempted by Flying Cupcakes (those cupcakes are going to my excuse one day when I blow up like a balloon). Like I said earlier this Friday I am leaving to Kentucky to meet some people that I have never met before and although I don't recommend this for any other situation than mine, I am stoked! It's a surprise and I can't wait to reveal it to you guys soon! Tonight I am going to Miriam's salons birthday party and can't wait for the relaxation and fun to begin!

This post is nothing more or less than the fact that I felt like sharing some pieces of art that I have thrifted over the past few months or years! The above is probably one of my favorites and I seriously still can't believe I got it for 5 buckaroos! Plus it's just so beautifully painted and calming really! Oh and the one underneath was just too pleasantly stitched to pass up! It's hung right on the staircase so it's the first thing you see when you enter my humble abode! Now the last one is a Kurt Halsey print that I did not thrift but indeed got myself, I had my moment and decided to take it several years ago, so it isn't really recent but I wanted to share it!

The idea of waking up in the late morning to my four babies is such a great thing and even better since it's real! Seeing Rooster in the mornings is such a cute thing all sprawled out on his sofa like he is the king of the castle. I swear Fredo and Sonny are whipped by him, they won't mess with Rooster at all and it's kinda cute! Today was such a beautiful day I couldn't resist but to take some outfit photos outdoors in my backyard! This backyard is everything I could ask for, it's just so serene and full of life to me. My daily ritual of drinking tea and reading my book in this scenery couldn't be any better! The only thing I wish didn't happen to my backyard is the fact that Fredo decided to dig a hole on one side of the house because he likes to lay in it when he gets too warm I suppose.
